This postcard is advertising a champagne from 1848, but the card itself, with its divided back, which helps us date the printing to after 1904. Dor is a famous name in the Cognac region, founded in 1858. (Personally, I'm thoroughly confused as to how they could have a champagne from 10 years before they set up shop...but I'll let the spirits specialists figure that out:) The embossed gold overlay is what this card is all about: it's a stunner despite slight signs of age. Overall, in fine antique condition. I envision this beauty matted and framed near the bar in someone's elite man cave!
Typical antique postcard size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
The green is a matte dark army green. The direct scan with all the reflective gold leaf distorts the green. The photos are more accurate. But whatever shade of green you're seeing on your computer, I feel confident in saying this card will not be a disappointment!
