The Cercle National Des Armees, also known as the French Officers Quarters, is a hotel in Paris near the opera house that is open to military officers from around the world. In 1969, Jacqueline and Maurice used the hotel facilities to host their wedding party! I have three of these and each shows some wear: most notably the top right corner. But a lovely pen and ink drawing, artist signed, and a fun piece of romantic memorabilia. If you love the "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" wedding tradition, this card qualifies as something old - and definitely unusual. It measures about 6.25 by 4.75 inches (so 12.5 inches across when the invitation is open).
