This Paris fish shop, aptly named "The Tide" (La Marée) is another in the storefront series by André Renoux (1939-2002), the "father" of the Paris School of Urban Realism. You may have seen Renoux's Paris shop scenes on Williams Sonoma plates. His original limited-edition serigraphs sell anywhere from $600 to $2,000. From what I've been told, there are approximately 70 cards in this collection of Renoux's work.
From my online research, comparing the dates of his original oil paintings and dates on used postcards, these cards are from the 1980s to the 1990s. These postcards are about 5.75 by 4-1/8 inches.
Near mint condition on the front but stains verso.
