When collecting a series, it doesn't take long to figure out which cards are the hard-to-find ones. Here's one by André Renoux (1939-2002), the "father" of the Paris School of Urban Realism, that definitely falls into that category. This card is also a bit of mystery. He did paint store facades outside of Paris (worldwide, in fact) but I can't locate this business. The current Google street view of 3 Rue Guichard doesn't look like this at all. I'll leave the sleuthing to you for now, but I do continue to research Mr. Renoux's work. If I track down the location of this scene, I'll certainly let you know. Also, note that this card is artist signed. Not all in his postcard series are. Slight corner bumps, but overall, fine vintage condition. Franked 1998. About 5.75 by 4-1/8 inches.
I'm offering these individually so you can mix and match to your own taste, whether you want to create a particular theme, color, all horizontal or all vertical, whatever. To see all the Renoux cards currently available, use RENOUX in the word search box.
