I haven't tracked down this business in Paris, but it's lovely Art Nouveau style would be a worthwhile trip, don't you think? Conserves et Pates is French for preserves and pasta! They also offer pasteurized milk and herbs, drinks, and my favorite: LU biscuits! This vintage art postcard is from the portfolio of André Renoux (1939-2002), considered the "father" of the Paris School of Urban Realism.
You may have seen Renoux's Paris shop scenes on Williams Sonoma plates. His original limited-edition serigraphs sell anywhere from $600 to $2,000. Although these postcards are not my usual antique fare, I wanted to offer these because Renoux's postcards are difficult for the average person in the United States to access and they are highly collectible. From what I can ascertain, there are approximately 70 cards in this collection of Renoux's work.
I can't date the unused postcards precisely but from my online research, comparing the dates of his original oil paintings and dates on used postcards, I believe these cards are from the 1980s to the 1990s. These postcards are about 5.75 by 4-1/8 inches. Slight corner bumps perhaps on some of the cards, but overall, near mint unused condition.
