This hat fashion illustration postcard was mailed in Hungary in 1917. It was published by Paul Fink of Berlin (PFB). According to the Metropolitan Postcard Club of New York, Fink operated from 1899 to 1905. I find it of note that his postcards were still in circulation more than a decade later, perhaps acquired by another company? While PFB postcards are not hard to find, this particular style is. The combination of a full color realistic face that gives way to a rough line-drawing sketch of the clothing is something I've come across in PFB cards less than a handful of times. In fact, the last time I had a card like this to sell was in April 2015. I've included a photo of that card to inspire you to add some glam and "dress up" this card!
3.5 by 5.5 inches. The edges show wear and the bottom right corner is creased. The background color was a bit difficult for me to capture; I've included several photos in different light as well as a direct scan. It is a rich dark brown.
