The light colored background of this postcard shows some album impressions and very light stains. The heart of the illustration, a darling girl in pink bows and white frills, is in fine condition except if you zoom in, you will see the slightest wrinkle around the girl's elbow. Not much is known about artist Elda Cenni. I found an autographed portrait of her from 1931 on an auction site for 50 euros:) Her date of death is usually listed on art auction sites as 1947. Christie's lists a couple of sales of Cenni's work in the past but nothing current. Neudin's "Les Meilleures Cartes Postales d'Illustrateurs," the French "Bible" for postcard collectors, says that Cenni's active years were from 1905 to 1920. This card is not postally sent. From my online research, I'd date it to about 1918-1925. 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
