Hand-painted rosebuds, French script and a mouth-watering menu. Plus, a poem written verso. This is a charming piece of ephemera dated June 24, 1921. Perhaps a birthday or special event for Mademoiselle Bairer? The poem verso written by a relative, Michel Barier. Jane did the art work. Oh, what a fun affair it must have been: fish, steak with mushrooms, peas, asparagus, assorted pastries, champagne and so much more! This menu card is almost 4 inches wide and just under 6 inches tall. I've included scans and photos. The card has a creamy off white background. Some stains, age as to be expected, but no creases and overall in most impressive condition for something over 90 years old.
