Originally titled "Easter Bonnet," this illustration by American artist Anna Whelan Betts (May 15, 1873 – February 6, 1959) first appeared in the April 1904 issue of The Century Magazine. A fellow Ruby Lane dealer has a watercolor print of this illustration for $1,650. Betts' art has lasting appeal and value! This postcard is unused and in overall mint condition. Typical antique postcard size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
I have four of these available as you can see in the last two photos. Remember: if you buy more, you can save more! See the details on my home page. It is interesting to compare these versions of the Vienne cards with those from the Polish Count's collection. I have several featuring both the art of Anna and her sister Ethel. Use Betts or Count in the word search box to see them all.
