This is a postcard advertisement for Evian Les Bains, the place where the one and only mineral water from France is found that can cure all ills. My bad humor aside, this is a delightful postcard advertising their second annual motorboat and yacht sailing races. (I'm sure you are surprised as I am to know that 'canots automobiles' is French for motorboats.) Verso, the card serves as an order form. I'm not completely sure if this is a request to have Evian bottled water delivered to your door or if this is a request for travel information to Evian Les Bains. Whichever, please note that they ask that you print your address "tres lisible" (very readable:) This postcard is not glossy but it is not matte either. I don't recognize the printer's name but you can imagine that Evian would demand quality. I can't explain this well and please excuse my ignorance, but either by design or because of the printing process used, this card has what I can only describe as a ripple or wave through it. It is not damaged and is in overall mint condition with a stunning, colorful design. Typical antique postcard size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
