A painting of an 18th century gentleman comes alive with surprise as he watches a girl in a high chair experience the miracle of radio waves in this humorous Italian postcard. Although no artist is credited, this is very much in the style of Colombo or Bertiglia. Rich colors and fine linen texture. The card is unused; likely circa 1920s or early '30s. About 3.5 by 5.5 inches with a deckled edge. There is a scuff mark at bottom right and there is a crease/impression at the top left corner across the "painting." The dark colors do a great job of hiding the slight bend. Despite these signs of age, I'd still classify this card as in overall very good vintage condition.
Please note: I usually include photos taken at natural daylight as well as a scan to attempt to capture the details and colors for you. Since computer monitors and color calibration often vary, the card in hand may not be exactly the tones you see here, but it will be somewhere in between and definitely beautiful. The background is much lighter in the photo. It is actually a dark gray-brown.
