This unused antique French postcard features four different national pavillions -- Germany, Belgium, Italy and Austria -- each one inside a leaf of clover, during the Paris Universal Exposition of 1900. The design is artist-signed: E. Schlemo, 1898. Note that this card was an advertising tool for Maxime Faivret's shop in Bordeaux. Faivret was a prominent shirt manufacturer in Paris at the turn of the century. Typical antique postcard size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. The top right corner is creased and the edges show hints of wear. At least 117 years old, it is overall in fine condition! The colors are super rich and saturated.
