Except for some numbers scribbled in pencil verso, these buttons have no identifying brand or information. This one of several packets of buttons I picked up in September at the second largest flea market in France, held each year in Rennes. The woman I bought these from said she inherited the buttons from her aunt and she said perhaps they dated from the 1960s or earlier. I've included photos and a direct scan to help convey the changing color and the funky shape of these delightful buttons. I'm sure there is not a potato chip classification for buttons, but that is exactly what they remind me of! The pearlized effect teases the eye, playing with shades of peachy orange.
