This is a very rare postcard series featuring two Edwardian children, Zezette and Toto, posing against a faux beach background. The sender numbered each card to show in what order they should be read. The individual cards are hard to find. In over 15 years of collecting, I've managed to get 4 for my personal collection.
Although these are French 'carte postales,' they were actually mailed to Rita in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The cards are postally marked as well as hand-dated 1906. The messages written on front are in Spanish.
Each card is about 5.5 by 3.5 inches. The cards are hand-painted with a matte finish (not glossy). Almost no surface wear. Nos. 5 and 6 have light creases at a corner, but overall, the set is in exceptional condition for its age.
