Madame Molinier did not date her crochet sample book but I am confident in saying it is vintage if not antique. This one-of-a-kind keepsake treasure from France contains 66 crocheted lace samples and 20 magazine snippets of instructions. The paper looks to be handmade. The book measures 9 by 6 inches. This item is worthy of being displayed in grand style! It would almost be sacrilege to the the pages apart, but can you just image each page framed and protected inside a shadowbox? What a unique wall display that would make. I have included photos of every page except the back page (ran out of photo slots:), but just send me a message and I can send you a scan of that if you'd like. Madame Molinier made just a few written notations in her book: dentelle is French for lace and another word I recognize is serpentine.
