Emile Bottaro was an Italian artist. Not much is known about his personal life, but his body of art work includes everything from the exotic to the traditional, including landscapes. Here we have one of his glamour ladies looking ... well, quite glamorous! If you are a fan of Bottaro, one of the secrets to finding more of his art is to search for Gottaro or Cottaro. On this particular postcard, his signature is a simple, easy to read initials. But on much of his work, Bottaro signed his paintings with an artsy but distinctively confusing signature.
Please note that the direct scan captures the correct shade of blue (darker, richer). The photo taken at the window sill by natural daylight distorts the blue. Size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. No creases. Overall fine condition. Unused, I can't be exact on the age of this card other than to say, pre-WWII.
