While organizing my postcards, I was quite surprised and pleased to find another in the multiple babies series featuring a wild/circus animal, in this case, a giraffe. Among the multiple babies series, there are many different themes. These are the hardest to find. The postmark on this card is not clear, but it was sent by an aunt to the same person in France as the lion postcard (link posted below), which is franked 1907. So it is reasonable to assume this one dates to that same time frame. 108 years old and this card is in almost mint condition; slightest of wear on the corner tips. Glossy surface, rich color saturation. Because the card has a glossy finish, the direct scan doesn't do it justice. I think the photo captures the richness of the colors better. But between scans and photos, you can see, this is an adorable collage. The card was printed in Germany, marked Serie 488. Size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
