These two French postcards featuring the girl in a pink dress with a maroon sash are in almost mint condition. These are the two cards you are paying for. I'm including the "off" blue one as a freebie; it is worn and aged but it does show another pose in the series. Exactly how many cards/poses there are in this series I'm not sure but even just the two of the girl in pink well illustrate how the diabolo was played. The coloring and hand-detailing of the pink cards is "incroyable" (unbelievable). Little metallic gold paint dashes accent the lace on her dress. Both mailed in 1907 to the same person. You'll note the album impressions at the corners verso which explain the well-preserved condition of these cards. Virtually no surface wear!
The girl in blue card is shabby chic indeed but what I really like is verso, that huge "Bon Souvenir" in a child's hand-writing!
All cards are about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
