This is one of about two dozen "multiple baby" postcards I have available. During the Golden Age of Postcards at the turn of the century, this was a popular theme, all the more to be appreciated considering how labor intensive all the cutting and pasting "the old fashioned way" to create such a montage. This design of babies, toddlers and kids in a hot air balloon is one of the more rare designs. German printed, it was mailed in France in 1907. For its age, it is in fine antique condition. Lightest hints of wear at the top right corner tip and around the edges. No creases. Some specks inherent to the printing. A full color chromolithograph, this image brings a smile to one's face -- just like the baby whose head is sticking out of the hole in the balloon wicker basket with a big smile on its face. Size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
