The illustration on this antique German postcard does not make sense, but is cute as can be: while one toddler sits on giant sugar cube knitting, others appear in a variety of tasks and poses in the steam coming from a huge china cup. This is a rare, hard to find image, not the typical 'multiple babies' style but quite unique. Notice the gold highlights on this fantastical illustration. The photos make the card look blue. It is actually cream, gold and black and white. This card was mailed to Moudon, Switzerland, on the last day of 1902. Size: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches. No creases. For its age, this card is near mint condition.
