The art of Ethel Parkinson combined with the printing quality of M.M.Vienne comes together in this mint condition postcard. Dark umber and other shades of brown have pastel pink highlights in this endearing scene of a mother with her daughter walking through a snowy field as the sun sets in the background. The mother is wearing a dress designed with huge buttons! The rosy pink in the little girl's cap and dress stripes matches her cheeks.
The undivided back of the 'carte postale' tells us it was printed in 1903 or earlier. French postal laws did not allow a divided back until 1904. The only sign of age is the lightest coloration verso. Size: 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
