This illustrated French postcard was mailed on Feb. 5, 1901. One may immediately think of Mardi Gras and Carnival looking at the caped lady in ruffled refinery and staff. But if you look again, you'll see those are red holly berries decorating her staff and even more holly decorating the Art Nouveau scroll design framing the postcard. So there are definitely Christmas and winter overtones in this charming design.
Size: about 5.5 by 3.5 inches. This card is water stained at the top right quadrant and I have priced it accordingly.
