This antique postcard was published by Charles Scolik of Austria. Note his name among the lavender flowers. An Edwardian couple are riding in a horse-drawn carriage. The woman has a parasol protecting her from the sun; the man has a whip which turns into part of the illustration's border and frame at the top. The romantic couple are upstaged by the 'bat' child in the center circle sporting large ears and little horns. Size: about 5.5 by 3.5 inches. Unused with an undivided back dates this card to about 1903 or earlier. Slightest hints of wear on the left edge, but in overall excellent condition, especially for its age.
