Among the "multiple babies" series, there are many different themes. The hardest to find are the wild/circus animals. I have had several of these for a decade and am just now willing to part with them. This is a lion peacefully accepting all these kiddos sitting and leaning on him -- even one little girl with a toy sitting on his tail! Most of my "multiple babies" postcards are matte, but this one has a glossy finish. Excuse my effort here to explain something technical beyond me but --- this type of glossy finish is more like a thin film overlay which makes the card stronger, more heavy duty. There is a small 'break' in the finish down by the lion's hindquarter and in the center bottom. No creases. The slightest signs of age or wear. Considering it was mailed in 1907, it is in exceptional condition! I'm in awe of the fact that the stamp's top edge has been hanging off the card for over a century and has never gotten torn! The publisher is still a mystery but, as I surmised in my other listing, at least now "Printed in Germany" is added to the cards.
