This is one of two Olibet Nouveau Biscuit advertising postcards I have available. Both were sent by Marie-Louise to her friend in Marseille. The postal franking is mysteriously missing the year, but the undivided back tells us it was printed in 1903 or earlier. There is a printing oddity about midways of the card: a shadowy line across her arms and into the cream border. There are ink stains also visible in the cream border (designed for the writing space as it was illegal to put anything other than the address on the back). Despite these signs of age, the Art Nouveau design is adorable with rich color saturation! Vivid and bold, this card is in the style of Mucha. Size: About 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
