The glossy surface on this card shows surface when held at an angle and on this direct scan (which is quite brutal, like examining the card under a jeweler's loupe) you'll see scratches and specks. Postmarked 1905, the bottom left corner is creased and the white border shows wear. But with the naked eye, this butterfly queen is a fantastic fantasy postcard! For a better idea of what this card looks like held in your hand, I suggest pushing your chair away from the computer about 3 or 4 feet:) What you'll see is a dark blackish background with about 3-4 white specks. In the photo shot, you'll get a better idea of what the card actually looks like. Aside from a handful of specks in the background, the image of the Butterfly Queen is just stunning. Super color tinting and photography (marked M.F. Paris at the bottom right). SIZE: about 3.5 by 5.5 inches.
