I have three cards in this RARE series and this one I have dubbed the Copper Lady. Her gown looks to be a dark brown with gold embossed over it, creating a 'copper' look. I originally thought fabric had been fused onto the illustrations to create this rich effect, but apparently it is simply the combination of superb German paper/paint/printing and embossing. IF you look at the trio as a whole, you'll see that her gown in the other cards looks green and bronze. The other detail I love about this set is that cupid's wings don't look angelic -- they look like butterfly wings!! The French text at the bottom corner says (best as I can translate) : The happy young girl Felt at her heart. A very skillful hand Had launched the arrow of happiness. It is difficult to capture the exact shades/tones of the card because it looks different depending upon how you hold it. So I've included a photo plus a direct scan. This card is in mint condition, unused! Circa 1904-1914 SIZE: 3.5 by 5.5 NOTE: Buy all three in this series and I'll pay for shipping:) Here are links to the other two: http://www.rubylane.com/item/274812-7351/French-postcard-Cupid-Lady-Love http://www.rubylane.com/item/274812-7350/Embossed-French-postcard-Cupid-watches
