I have three cards in this series and they are each one just incredible. I've been buying/selling/collecting French postcards for over 10 years now and this is the first set I've come across like this with a thick embossed overlay. [Take a look at the last photo and you'll see what this card usually looks like.] At first look, I thought fabric had been fused to create the effect, but apparently it is simply the superb German quality of the paper/paint/printing and embossing. (Many of the finest postcards from the Golden Age of Postcards were printed in Germany!) The French text at the bottom corner says (best as I can translate) : O unequal happiness From a childhood sweetheart. You ignored the bad. You love the joy. IF you look at the trio as a whole, you'll see that this one features the lady in green; the other two are bronze and copper. It is difficult to capture the exact shades/tones of the card because it looks different depending upon how you hold it. But any way you look at it, it's stunning. The only sign of age is the one corner tip that is worn. Otherwise, this card is in overall mint condition and unused. Incroyable! (Unbelievable!) Circa 1904-1914 SIZE: 3.5 by 5.5 NOTE: Buy all three in this series and I'll pay for shipping and insurance:)
