A charming accessory from a bygone era worn by proper Edwardian ladies. This colorful plaid tie was worn at the top button as an accessory on a blouse. These ties replaced broaches that were worn in Victorian fashions. Proper use would be to wear to a luncheon or when out visiting during the day.
The material is silk fashioned into a bow accented with stripes of typical primary colors of this period - blue, green, red and yellow. The bow is attached to a stiff frame that that is covered in the same silk fabric as the bow. The back has a two prong metal clip that fastens to the front collar of the blouse.
