Nothing said the 1940's like a corde design. This little black clutch handbag has a wonderful corde design with a brass zipper, and is lined in black silk.
These little handbags were a favorite among the movies stars in the "Golden Age" of Hollywood. Corde is pronounced cor-day. A Corde design is rows of rolled (corded) thread wrapped in various unique patterns sewn to a fabric backing.
The color is a solid black. Some pictures appear lighter because I used a bright light to show off the pattern.
Width is 8 1/4". Height is 5 1/2".
In excellent condition. As always, my items are clean and smoke free.
