A lovely hat fashioned from the 1910 sailor hat styles by Plaza Style by Betmar of New York. Betmar, a woman's millinery was established in New York in 1933 where wearing a hat was part of every day dressing. One of the partners was a skilled old line hat maker from the early 1900's familiar with the early turn of the century hat styles.
This substantial hat is a dark grey felt with a wide black velvet band. There is also a large black velvet bow with a sparkly rhinestone center at the back of the hat. All rhinestones are clear with no missing stones.
The grey felt top rim is 2 1/4" high. The black velvet band is 1 1/2" high. The black velvet bow is 5" high x 7" wide.
Size is 22.
In excellent condition - like new. As always, my items are clean and smoke free.
