A charming accessory from a by gone era worn by proper Edwardian ladies. This ruffled tie was worn at the top button as an accessory on a blouse. These ties replaced broaches that were worn in Victorian fashions. Proper use would be to wear to a luncheon or when out visiting during the day.
The material is a black silk fashioned into a ruffled bow accented with silver thread and black ric rac. The bow is attached to a stiff frame that is covered in the same fabric and design on the front. The back has two metal prongs that attach at the front collar of the blouse.
