This is an old souvenir pillow cover, handmade with embroidery and ribbon flowers. I have looked this over well and the center portion was likely purchased and the remainder of the cover, flowers and embroidery was made around it.
The overall condition is excellent. I can see some small holes in the center medallion that reads "Souvenir of the Great War". Also, I can see some faint pencil marks used to create the design pattern under the silk rosettes. Otherwise, this is very nice and clean.
On the back portion, there are some faint fold marks from storage. There is an opening for a pillow, but this could be used as a doily or table accent, or reworked using the beautiful flowers and lace. I want to mention there is no pillow included with this item.
I have shown the measurements in the photo. This item is very nicely executed in many pretty silk threads and ribbons.
