This is a gorgeous little basket! While I have seen these listed as Coabrookdale, Coalport, I am fairly certain this is Chamberlains Worcester. This basket is unmarked, but I found a slightly smaller one with the Chamberlains mark on the bottom. Regardless, this is a little jewel which displays beautifully. Please enlarge the photos and study the condition. There are a few flowers with losses, but considering that the flowers are paper thin, it is in remarkable condition. The inside is hand painted with flowers, roses and gold scrolls. There is a slightly darkened area in the glaze in the bottom as shown in the photos. This is in the clear glaze and not dirt. Likely this occurred in the making, but I want to point it out.
The outside of the basket is deep blue with gilt accents. There is no loss to the gilt accent throughout. I can find no damage besides the few chipped flower petals. As, for the measurements, I have included photos of the length and width. The basket stands about 6 1/4 inches tall at the top of the rose on the handle. The bottom of the basket is not quite level, but it sets firmly. Please email with any questions. Thank you.
