Rare Antique French Limoges Hand Painted Scenic Figural Teapot
Here is a sweet, Limoges demitasse teapot featuring a charming, yet whimsical scene of a woman out for a stroll on a cobble stone path in her Sunday frock. She carries an umbrella just in case it rains...cats and dogs! Trees with puffy, pink leaves line the open field and, at the end of the road, is a house with a thatch roof. This detailed, French beauty was hand painted with care along with the talented artist's sense of humor.
It stands, from it gilded, "ribbon" finial to its round base accented with gold, 7.5 inches and reversed is a Delinieres & Cie Limoges hallmark used between 1894 and 1900.
Without exception, this rare, antique, hand painted, French beauty is in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
