Offered for sale is this stunning, chocolate pot, expertly hand painted and signed by Brauer, Master Artist and owner of the Julius H. Brauer China Painting Studio. Noted in Alan Reed's reference book, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Pickard China" Reed states that compared to Pickard, and Stouffer, surviving Brauer pieces are quite rare.
This hand painted beauty features gorgeous, romantic, sweetheart roses and lush greenery meticulously hand painted on a canary yellow, backdrop that dramatically graduates to a burnt sienna and then again into a rich cinnamon. Directly under the wide, radiant gold, spout is a single crimson tea rose framed by a exquisite, golden foliage wreath. Two more, scarlet roses grace the lid - - side by side of the spectacular, gilded "ribbon tied into a bow" finial. The elegant handle is curved to show off all its intricate, flared and embossed details. This hand painted, beauty stands an impressive 12 inches and reversed is a Brauer hallmark used between 1905 and 1910. Although no maker's hallmark, many of Brauer Studio's artwork was done on Limoges whiteware.
This hand painted, artist signed RARE antique, beauty is in sterling condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes. It is guaranteed to be a jewel among your porcelain collection!
Perfectly paired in the last photograph with a stunning, artist signed, Pickard plate for sale separately in my shop.
