Hand Painted Antique Framed German Portrait Plaque Artist Signed
This late 19th Century, original, hand painted, porcelain plaque features a beautiful, young maiden with large, chocolate brown eyes sitting in a quiet and serene setting complete with blooming flowers, trees and a peaceful stream. She wears a classic, off-the-shoulder, white gown with a floral, tiara gracing her hair. The tile has been elegantly framed with a green suede mat and an ornate gilt wood frame. The plaque measures approximately 5.5 inches by 4 inches. Framed it measures 13.5 inches by 11.5 inches. It is signed on the front by the talented artist and reversed is a label stating the porcelain was made in Germany. A number 107 is incised in the porcelain. Also on the back is an Ens & Greiner Lauscha Thuringia, German hallmark used between 1885 and 1897.
This hand painted and artist signed, German, antique beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or restoration of any kind.
