Presented is this stunning, porcelain, chocolate set consisting of a chocolate pot and three matching cups and saucers.
The pot features romantic, tea roses and lush greenery expertly hand painted on a glossy, green sherbet and powder blue, backdrop. A radiant, coin gold accentuates its graceful beaded waistband, ornate radiant gold, finial, scalloped rim and magnificent, twisted handle. This 12-inch, Victorian beauty was proudly signed, by the extraordinarily, talented artist, Shapcott. Reversed is a C. Tielsch & Co. Germany hallmark used between 1875 and 1934.
The trio of matching hand painted, cup and saucer sets feature a lovely, floral bouquet filled with colorful flowers ranging from crimson, tea roses, to powder blue, Forget Me Nots to a stunning array of violets hand painted in a deep purple. A raised, highly ornate, gilded design accentuates both the cups' pedestal bases as well as both the cups' and saucers' rims. The cups stand 3.75 inches with the saucers measuring 6 inches in diameter. The talented artist proudly signed two of the cups on the front. Reversed on the saucers only is a Haviland Limoges, France hallmark used between 1894 and 1931.
These hand painted and artist signed, porcelain beauties are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
