Framed Limoges Plate Hand Painted Roses Famous Artist Signed
The renown and highly respected, artist and teacher, Marshal Fry, Jr. expertly hand painted and signed, this beautiful, T&V Limoges, France plate. During his career, Fry, was considered by many to be as talented an artist as his contemporaries, Aulich, Bischoff and Leykauf. He contributed much to the Keramic Studio magazine as well as won many awards for his beautiful, works-of-art. This particular masterpiece of his features a stunning, romantic, floral bouquet filled with fuchsia, pink roses and lush greenery perfectly hand painted on a sapphire blue, emerald green and topaz backdrop. This one-of-a-kind, breath-taking art has been framed with an embossed wood, vintage frame. The French porcelain plate measures 9.5 inches...framed the pair measures 13.5 inches. Reversed on the plate is a Tressemann & Vogt Limoges, France hallmark used between 1892 and 1907.
Without exception, this hand painted, French beauty and frame are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or damage. Mentioned only for accuracy is, a few areas of the emerald green mat has come loose around the edges and has been re-glued to ensure it stays in place.
