Hand Painted Artist Signed Mint Hood French Limoges Plate
Beautiful, Limoges plate expertly hand painted by Mint Hood, a teacher of porcelain painting in Columbus, Ohio. In 1910, she was awarded the honor of best vase in the category of china painting professional by the Ohio State Board of Agriculture. Her work-of-art features a romantic bouquet filled with soft pink and lavender, spider mums hand painted on a multicolored backdrop of violet and sunset gold. This Victorian, floral motif is elegantly framed with a radiant gold rim. This plate measures 8.5 inches in diameter and reversed is a La Porcelaine Limoges hallmark used between 1905 thru the late 1930's.
Without exception, this lovely, hand painted and artist signed French beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
Perfectly paired in the last photograph with another beauty plate hand painted and signed by Mint Hood.
