Limoges Plate Hand Painted Roses Signed by Artist IDA FERRIS
This stunning, Haviland Limoges plate was meticulously hand painted and signed by American artist and teacher, Ida Ferris; International award winning china painter and contributor to the prestigious, Keramic Studio publications from 1898 through 1915. Throughout her career Ferris' art was exhibited at the International Universal Exposition at Paris, France.
This beautiful, one-of-a-kind, plate features a romantic bouquet filled with pink and burgundy, tea roses nestled in lush greenery and elegantly framed with a radiant gold, scalloped rim. The backdrop consists of soft gray and moss green. Ferris painted her masterpiece on an 8.5 inch European, porcelain blank manufactured by Haviland of Limoges, France between 1894 and 1931.
Without exception, this hand painted and artist signed, French beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
