French Antique Limoges Large Powder Box Hand Painted Roses
This beautiful, Limoges, powder jar with its expertly, hand painted, sweetheart rose bouquet is quite large. Through the years it may have graced many a Victorian ladies parlor, vanity or dresser as the bowl allows it to be easily filled with bon bon candy for guests, fine heirloom jewelry or expensive powder for setting their fancy, ornate wigs. This outstanding, porcelain beauty stands 3 inches; has a circumference of 26 inches and measures nearly 8 inches across the lid. Reverse is the signature of the artist as well as a Bernardaud & Cie Limoges hallmark used between 1900 and 1914.
Without exception, this hand painted and artist signed, French beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
