Gorgeous, T&V Limoges seafood tray featuring natural sea life meticulously hand painted in vibrant shades of coral, blush, sapphire and emerald green. A Roman coin gold border accentuates the elegantly, scalloped rim. It measures 10.5 inches long by, at the widest point, 6 inches. This porcelain divided serving dish, used during the Victorian era on special occasions, provided a beautiful, backdrop as well as a perfect shape for serving fish delicacies along with a complimentary dipping sauce. Reversed may be the artist's initials. However over the years, these have worn and are now illegible. Also, on the back is a Tressemann & Vogt Limoges, France hallmark used between 1892 and 1907.
This expertly, hand painted, French, antique beauty is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or paint flakes.
