Offered for sale is this gorgeous, Nippon, porcelain vase with a dramatic ruffled rim. Featured on different sides, are three hand painted, Victorian rose bouquets surrounded by a double row of petite, gold beads in a scalloped design. In between hundreds of teal enamel jewels, expertly hand placed on a gold leaf backdrop, are pretty pink, tea roses nestled in lush greenery. An intricate, moriage design accents each of the three gilded pedestal footings. It stands, from its scalloped rim to its footed base, 3.5 inches and, at the widest point, has a circumference of 12.5 inches. Reversed is a Nippon hallmark used between 1891 and 1921.
This stunning, Nippon vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, paint flakes or missing teal beads. The only exception being a tiny amount of moriage missing from the tip of one foot.
