During the 1930s, the Roseville company designed and introduced some of their most popular lines. First introduced in 1931, the Montacello line offered a subtly decorated simple deco shape with a geometric pattern resembling a native American design. This pattern came in a pastel aqua hue as well as this attractive tan; primarily produced in assorted vases, baskets and bowls. Today the Montacello pattern most likely could be one of the most popular avidly sought by collectors. The catalog number of this example is 563-8, measuring 8 1/4” tall, 3 1/2” across the top and 3 1/8” across the base. Thorough examination and cleaning reveals no damages or repairs whatsoever. The inside is clean showing no staining or residue from use. I will mention and as visible in several pictures the outside has a very fine crazing in the glaze, none of which is stained. A superb example to highlight any collection of art deco or mid-period Roseville pottery. Thank you.
This example will be shipped via FedEx ground/home delivery, double boxed and fully insured for a set fee.
