The Weller Pottery of Ohio produced the Turkis line from the late 1920s until about 1933. This line consisted of very simple yet elegant deco style shapes with a maroon base color with a dripping green over glaze. This created a very cool blended glaze effect. Not a large number of pieces were produced originally, hence, Turkis is difficult to find in today’s pottery markets. This exquisite example is actually larger than the standard cabinet vase as it stands 5 3/4” tall with an opening 4 1/4” across. The outside is adorned with beautiful glaze runs of green blended with tan and maroon hues on top of a rich maroon background. This simple sleek design will enhance any art deco decor. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. Clean on the inside and out. Please enjoy the multiple pictures of this wonderful item.
