This is a unique wooden carved doll dating circa 1870s. She is jointed at the shoulders, elbows and wrists, as well as her hips and knees
and tops of boots (although this area doesn't pivot to the extent the other joints do). Metal painted boots and hands. Some original paint
loss, but overall lovely with the fine detailing to the hands. Painted flesh tone shoulders and chest. One joint inside should has been replaced
with wood of a lighter color. Carved curls in hair, carved facial
features. Wear to modeling of face and wear to paint on face, giving an early rustic appearance. Touch up repaint at the area where
the swivel head meets the body. Made of hard rock maple wood. Some areas of white on the head which has a matte finish. This is wear
the paint has worn to the gesso finish underneath.
I sell vintage and antique items with a history; oftentimes items may show wear from a former life. I always try to note any serious condition issues. Please
contact me if you have additional questions regarding the condition of the item. If you are seeking a collectible which looks brand new
please reconsider purchasing. Our items are as described, but descriptions are subjective, after all. Please note, if an item is returned
within our 3 day return window, your payment will be returned, minus a 3% restocking fee. We do not issue refunds for shipping.
Layaway is available. A 20 percent non refundable deposit will secure the item and we will work with you regarding the length of the layaway.
We are fairly flexible. No refunds on layaway.
Please note, Ruby Lane's calculated shipping is an estimate and sometimes can be intimidating. Rest assured, I only charge my actual shipping costs and will refund any excess you have paid.
USPS shipping rates (both domestic and international) continue to increase. I ship based on size of box (anything over 12" is considered oversized and charged a surcharge by USPS),
weight, insurance and priority, first class or express options. I will refund any excess you have paid. I do combine shipping for multiple purchases.
Please do not purchase an item to "reserve" it and block if from selling to others while you ponder your purchase. A purchase order
is a commitment to buy the item at the price listed and not a pathway to put an item on "hold" .
