Original 'Double Ball' glass Seltzer or Soda Water Siphon from Paris. Made by the Lefevre company in 19th century Paris it has the maker's name and model name 'Seltzogene' engraved on the Pewter neck (see photo)The origin of the protective wire jacket was in case the siphon exploded from being shaken too much - an unlikely event but a precaution from being available on every bar counter !

The heavy hand-blown glass siphon with its wire mesh jacket is in perfect condition and still usable .
Made in France, circa 1880-1900. Measuring 16 inches tall . In excellent original condition.
