Circular shaped folding 'Vendange' or 'Wine Tasting' Table with an elmwood table top on a fruitwood base, coming from the Burgundy region of France. Tables like this were made to be used for tasting wines in cellars or outdoors, or for lunching in the vineyards during the wine harvest. This is is a very nice example in very good solid condition, with its lyre shaped crutch that spins round when untipped to lock the top firmly in place.
Measures 38 inches diameter x 28 high. Circa 1900-1930
