'Lavabo Bébé' or Baby's Washstand-a charming tiny washstand made for a child's nursery -,or for washing a new baby made in Eastern France
at the turn of the 19th to 20th century
The washstand includes a china bowl decorated with Kate Greenaway period nursery rhyme characters set on a nicely crafted wooden base. This piece comes from the French pottery city of Sarreguemines in Alsace.-Lorraine. circa 1900, and measures 18 inches high x 18" wide x 12" deep.
